Untitled No. 4
This unbuilt project is a single-family residence on an L-shaped site bordering Lincoln Park in Chicago. Garden walls, lot-line bearing walls, and a privacy screen comprise the concrete envelope. These elements provide the edges of a momentary interruption to the city block and respond to the neighborhood context, while protecting the glass perimeter of the living spaces. The interior space responds freely to functional requirements, including the display of a major collection of painting and sculpture.
