Not in Kansas Anymore
Chicago Museum of Science and Industry - Lego Exhibit
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives.
It is the one that is most adaptable to change.“ - Charles Darwin
Constructed for the Brick by Brick exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry, Not in Kansas Anymore pushes LEGO outside its comfort zone to reflect on ideas of context and adaptability, and tests the ability of LEGO to respond to new and organic environments. The sculpture, which expresses the fundamental qualities of architecture—space, light, and material — is formed of 32 individual cubes each with an ambiguous scale. The cubes are resolved space by space, building by building, district by district and city by city. The exhibit was opening on March 2016 and ran until February 2017.
