Herman Miller Design Center

New York City

The Herman Miller National Design Centers are functional showrooms which help support and progress their business through an investment in their employees, enhanced customer experiences, advanced brand strength, and increased sales support. The architecture, products, graphics and technology are tightly coordinated for maximum effect and benefit, resulting in a stronger identity and increased performance.

The National Design Center in New York expanded the ideas first explored in the Herman Miller flagship showroom in Chicago. Prefabricated light baffles were mass-produced and clipped to a standard ceiling tile grid. Thus, creating a playful surface while allowing for accessibility to lighting and life-safety and mechanical components.
