Herman Miller Design Center

The first of our collaboration with Herman Miller on their National Design Center program, rolling out showrooms across the United States. 


Utilizing concepts developed at Herman Miller’s award-winning Chicago Showroom, we created a series of experiences combining light, transparency and minimal detailing.


The first phase of the master plan for the Los Angeles Center focused on the customer’s moment of arrival. Sandblasted glass panels form an embracing tunnel of light leading the customer from the elevator into the showroom proper. Lighting is programmed to slowly change color and intensity, altering the sensation of transparency and materiality.
