The ceiling was designed as open and flexible by using vertical strips of painted particle board. This economical solution allowed for all life-safety components to hover unobstructed between the strips while providing baffled lighting, adding interest to an otherwise simple space. Canted glass walls provided visual interest in the display area, a playful counterpart to the dynamic ceiling.
